SSL introduces
MT Production digital console Solid State Logic has introduced its new MT Production (MTP) digital production console. MT Production, based on SSL’s latest MT Plus in-line digital console, embodies a host of new features only made possible by SSL’s advanced HS Control Processing, a new and powerful processing engine that gives operators more options and greater information feedback, especially important for surround sound mixing. MTP features comprehensive snapshot reset, flexible subgroup bussing, full multi-format surround sound capabilities, and is available in a compact, lightweight package for multi-track television, and music/entertainment applications. For remote trucks, MTP Mobile, a version featuring a reduced console centre section while maintaining all the functionality of the original with full 96-channel processing in a standard non-expanding truck width - will also be introduced. Utilising SSL’s proven and popular in-line, knob-per-function ergonomic design, MTP combines in-line mixing architecture with simultaneous |

surround-sound outputs to ensure maximum format flexibility for programme
material. In television production applications, the console’s flexible
busses support clean feeds, mix-minus outputs and full multitrack back-up
capabilities. MTP also offers a configurable panning and output bus
structure that allows its 12 main mix busses to support flexible and
powerful arrangements such as simultaneous 5.1 output for international
versions. Comprehensive control grouping, snapshot/reset capabilities and
selectable automation complete the versatile package. The central concern of every audio console is the sound quality, and the MT Production takes sonic sensibilities to new heights with the NiTECH SuperPre analogue-to-digital input stage. Analogue input has been tuned to exceed the performance of the universally acclaimed SL 9000 J Series SuperAnalogue console and low-latency conversion circuitry is combined with full console-surface control, analogue foldback returns and insert points prior to 24-bit conversion to the digital domain. The all-new optional INFO Faders are designed to give extensive visual and tactile feedback of null points to the operator. |
