TSL Professional Products Ltd. (PPL), a manufacturer of hardware and software audio monitoring, tally and power management solutions for the broadcast industry, is pleased to present solutions from its range of audio, loudness, distribution, tally and SoundField surround microphone systems at the 2013 BES Expo (Pranav MediaTech Stand 20 and 21) from January 29 through the 31, at the Pragati Maidan, in New Delhi.
"The BES Expo will be a wonderful opportunity for TSL PPL to showcase our broadcast product range and stay on top of growth and innovation within the Indian market," says Chris Exelby, Managing Director of TSL. "Our complete range of products offers users solutions for all stages of the broadcast chain, from acquisition to transmission, for both satellite and terrestrial broadcasts."
TSL PPL has a vast range of audio monitoring units in its product line, many of which have been installed by major broadcasters across the globe. At BES, the company will be highlighting its new Studio Audio Monitoring solution, SAM1-3GM, Monitor Plus MPA range and PAM PiCo models for the audio monitoring category. The SAM1-3GM, a flexible, intuitive system for broadcasters and content producers alike, offers seamless operation in settings ranging from multi-language and surround sound/stereo production to live sports and event broadcasting.
The Monitor Plus Audio (MPA) family offers entry-level, robust audio monitoring, with the same performance elements found in TSL PPL's high-end confidence monitoring line. At the BES Expo, the MPA1-3G, which provides comprehensive de-embedding capabilities and accepts any SD or HD-SDI signal up to and including 3G, will be on display. TSL will also exhibit the MPA1-ASB and -ASC units, which are available in dual or eight stereo input versions and are built around a brand-new hardware platform. Recent enhancements to the MPA1-ASB and -ASC units include upgraded power amplifiers and speakers for improved clarity, as well as a master volume control that can also be used to set levels sent to an external monitoring system.
The PAM PiCo is a compact, comprehensively equipped standalone audio and loudness meter featuring the revolutionary StarFish surround sound display. Simple to use and easy to configure, PAM PiCo puts high-quality metering within reach of anyone involved in sound production, from operators working in broadcast production to music studio technicians and record producers. No larger than a smartphone, PAM PiCo handles stereo or 5.1 metering with a vast array of user-selectable bar graphs. All four versions of the PAM PiCo are equipped with loudness measurement tools compatible with EBU, ITU and ATSC recommendations, AES and analogue audio inputs, moving coil meter emulation and the option for either a desk or rack-mount configuration.
TSL PPL will also showcase its new Vertical Intelligent Power (VIP) range of Mains Distribution Units (MDU) to the Indian market. The new VIP stays true to the traditional functionality of TSL PPL's Power Management MDUs, but adds a fresh, vertical modular format, enabling streamlined installation. The unit is ideal for broadcast, IT and AV installations in need of fail-safe power distribution management.
TSL PPL has also recently acquired SoundField Ltd., a leading surround sound microphone and audio processing technology manufacturer. TSL PPL will exhibit SoundField's range of surround microphones and upmix/downmix solutions at BES 2013. This acquisition allows the company to expand its product portfolio to further support 5.1 audio in the broadcast workflow.
The TSL PPL TallyMan product range, also on display at BES, provides seamless cross-equipment communications for the broadcast industry world. The TallyMan line connects to all of a system's crucial infrastructure components, including routers, vision switchers, cameras, audio monitoring, power distribution and talkback systems. TallyMan tally systems are sophisticated and provide users with configuration programmes backed by full, comprehensive product support. TSL PPL's new TallyMan 16/32/48 button Control Panel (TCP) and TallyMan VP virtual panel will also be on hand.
