is the speed of radio waves, that is 3,00,000 km per second. For audio
frequency of 15,000 Hz, the wavelength = 3,00,000 km per sec divided by 15,000 Hz = 20 km.
Quarter of it is 5 km. An antenna of that size is ludicrous. Hence we need to reduce the
wavelength of the audio signal before sending it in space. |

Aradio station basically records and transmits. It often shares studio facilities, but it owns the transmitter that is its heart.
